Juyang Weng

Prof. Juyang Weng received the BS degree from Fudan University, in 1982, M. Sc. and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, in 1985 and 1989, respectively, all in computer science. He has published over 300 research articles on related subjects, including task muddiness, intelligence metrics, brain-mind architectures, emergent Turing machines, autonomous programing for general purposes (APFGP), Post-Selection flaws in “deep learning”, vision, audition, touch, attention, detection, recognition, autonomous navigation, and natural language understanding. He published with T. S. Huang and N. Ahuja a research monograph titled Motion and Structure from Image Sequences. He authored a book titledNatural and Artificial Intelligence: Computational Introduction to Computational Brain-Mind. Dr. Weng is an Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Humanoid Robotics, the Editor-in-Chief of the Brain-Mind Magazine, and an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Autonomous Mental Development (now Cognitive and Developmental Systems).

Yuanyan Tang

Professor Tang Yuanyan is the Chief Professor of the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Macau, Honorary Professor of the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University, IEEE Fellow, IAPR Fellow, Chairman of the International Pattern Recognition Technical Committee (IEEE SMC), and Executive Director of the Chinese Society for Automation. Professor Tang Yuanyan has been engaged in scientific research in the fields of pattern recognition and image processing for a long time, and has achieved a series of highly innovative and internationally advanced research results. Especially for making significant contributions to scientific and technological progress, he was awarded the first prize of the Natural Science Award by the Ministry of Education in 2005. The main research results have been published in more than 240 high-level international journals and conferences.

Zhao Zhang
Hefei University of Technology, China
Dr. Zhao Zhang is a Full Professor at the School of Computer and Information, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China. I received the PhD degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering (EE) at City University of Hong Kong, supervised by Prof. Tommy W.S. Chow (IEEE Fellow), in 2013. During my PhD study, I have visited the National University of Singapore, working with Prof. Shuicheng Yan (ACM/IEEE/AAAI/IAPR Fellow, and Fellow of Singapore Academy of Engineering), from Feb to May 2012; I also visited the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR) at Chinese Academy of Sciences, working with Prof. Cheng-Lin Liu (IEEE/IAPR Fellow, Director of NLPR), from Sep to Dec 2012. I was ranked the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing by Elsevier and Stanford University in 2022/2023. His research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. He is a Distinguished Member of the CCF, and a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Chen Gong

Chen Gong received his dual doctoral degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and University of Technology Sydney (UTS), respectively. Currently, he is a full professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology. His research interests mainly include machine learning, data mining, and learning-based vision problems. He has published more than 130 technical papers at prominent journals and conferences such as JMLR, IEEE T-PAMI, IEEE T-NNLS, IEEE T-IP, IEEE T-CYB, IEEE T-CSVT, IEEE T-MM, IEEE T-ITS, ACM T-IST, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, AAAI, IJCAI, ICDM, etc. He serves as the associate editor for IEEE T-CSVT, Neural Networks, and NePL, and also the Area Chair or Senior PC member of several top-tier conferences such as AAAI, IJCAI, ECML, AISTATS, ACM MM, etc. He won the ``Excellent Doctorial Dissertation Award'' of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, ``Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program'' of China Association for Science and Technology, ``Wu Wen-Jun AI Excellent Youth Scholar Award'', and the Scientific Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of Jiangsu Province. He was also selected as the ``Global Top Chinese Young Scholars in AI'' released by Baidu, and “World's Top 2% Scientists” released by Stanford University.
